Fundraise for Pathfinders!

All fundraising for Pathfinders Camp is greatly appreciated, whether that is at a corporate, challenge, or bake-sale level! All the money raised goes towards providing future camps with excellent facilities, incredible personal opportunities, and challenging, fun-filled activities. Pathfinders Camp is a registered charity.

If you are organising an event that seeks sponsorship, please use the form below.

If you are a company, organisation, or benevolent group that would like to fundraise for Pathfinders Camp – firstly, thank you! Please contact our Camp Leader, Sam, who will be able to advise you on how to put your ideas into practice.

If you are a participant, please think about how you can raise funds to help run Pathfinders. Any small amount helps, whether it’s collecting your coppers in your “Pennies for Pathfinders” tins and bringing them to camp next year (I’m sure our treasurer Jo will love counting the coppers!), baking a cake and selling it to your work colleagues, making crafty items (such as cards, jewellery or knitted items) and selling them, or anything else you can think of – lots of little amounts of fundraising soon adds up!

For those of you working, lots of companies have community support funds that can be applied to for funding for groups such as ours. Have you thought about asking at work about this?

Easyfundraising.org.uk

We have been set up with an easyfundraising page called ‘Pathfinders Woodlarks’, and this allows us to generate donations for camp via Internet shopping. So far, we have raised more than £1,500 this way! The website address for our cause is https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/pathfinderswoodlarks  Lots of the prominent Internet retailers offer donations, so if you buy books or gifts via Amazon.co.uk, we can get a little back; most of the supermarkets offer donations with online grocery shopping, many airlines and travel companies offer donations, and Dave has even thought of a big money spinner here – he orders goods for his business from suppliers that donate via EasyFundraising! All good news, and every little helps…

Give as You Live

Give as You Live is similar to Easy Fundraising except that it donates for in-store shopping. The website address for our cause is https://www.giveasyoulive.com/charity/pathfinderscamp

Pennies for Pathfinders

Since Pathfinders 2016 we have asked the whole camp to fundraise by collecting their loose change! Join in by saving up your coins (Tip:  put a tin by the washing machine for when you empty your pockets!) and bring them back to Pathfinders Camp. You can get a “Pennies for Pathfinders” tin by contacting Sam.

Monster Race

On April 18th, on a sunny but deceptively cold day, Gill Bryant and Kim Rayner from Pathfinders (and various friends and family of theirs) took part in the Monster Race 2015 (Gill for the second time, Kim for the first time). “Monster Race” is published as a 5k, 20 obstacle race through mud, water, up, over and through various tricky and sticky obstacles. However, not once has the 5k ended up less than 6k due to the placement and spacing of the obstacles. The team completed the course in a fantastic time: approximately 1hr 45 (slower than last year, but the course was longer!) They raised £500 for Pathfinders!

Nori + Caroline’s Marathon Swim

In July 2015, Nori and Caroline MacIntyre-Gray took on the challenge of swimming a whole road marathon (26.2 miles) each. That is 1,688 lengths of a standard swimming pool, and they challenged themselves to do it in just 31 days. By completing their challenge, they raised over £1,000 for Pathfinders.
